DIY Fur Collar && Bracelet

Faux Fur is a big trend this season! In a burst of inspiration, I decided to add fur to a button down collar && to make a fur bracelet!

I tried my hand at sewing (literally, I sewed the fur on the collar by hand) and I'm proud of what I came up with!

The fur bracelet will definitely be getting added to my line of accessories!

&& speaking of line of accessories, I sold a few pieces && handed out business cards today! I'm starting to feel like a BAWSE lol!

Check out some pics!

DIY Clutches

Help, I've fallen in love with clutches and I can't get up. :/

Today I made an impromptu trip to Hobby Lobby (My mother and I will be going this weekend. I plan on getting materials for another clutch and a couple more pairs of earrings.)

I made a gray && brown suede fringe clutch, and a sequined clutch. Check out some pics below.

New Projects

I plan on going to Hobby Lobby this weekend before I leave to go to Arizona on Monday.

I'll be buying materials for...

  • a studded clutch
  • a fur clutch (saw how to dye it on a DIY blog, not so sure if I want to do that or just stick with neutral colors)
  • another pair of feather earrings
  • a pair of studded leather fringe earrings
                       and last but not least,

  • a sequined clutch.

I developed a love for smaller handbags and clutches over the last couple of weeks. Can you tell?

My Latest DIY Project

The pair in the top left corner are two different charms. I was inspired by a pair of earrings I got at Forever 21, called the Wild Child earrings (they were a tiny hoop earring with a dangling cross, and a rhinestone studded black feather.).

The pair in the top right corner took me the longest. I would say it probably took me 35-45 minutes to make these. I had to cut a chain into different pieces, put them on a pendant and then squeeze them onto the earring fixture and secure them. They gave me a headache but they were worth it.

The last pair are two pendants. I saw these and they immediately caught my eye. They were relatively simple to make, and I think they just might be my new favorite pair of earrings. :)

DIY Feather Earrings

I've been wanting a big pair of feather earrings since forever. The ones I've been seeing have been $25 and up. I don't mind investing in a quality piece. However, feathers are a trend, and trends are fleeting. I don't want to be stuck with a pair of $30 earrings that I can't even wear out anymore.

This weekend my mother had me running errands with her. She told me she was going to Hobby Lobby. I had two choices: go in hobby lobby with her or go in Rainbow (umm...no.). So I wound up in Hobby Lobby browsing around for a jewelry holder (which I still so desperately need) and came across the DIY jewelry section. I was instantly enchanted. I picked up two crosses (which were supposed to be pendants), a pack of peacock feathers, and a pack of big white feathers with black dye on the end. It took a bit of effort, but I now have three pairs of earrings. :) Two pairs of which I'll post pics of below!

What do you think of them?

DIY Studded Sweater

I wanted to make a studded sweater because the ones I've been seeing have been so expensive. So I got the idea of using nuts and bolts from this blog here ----> http://runwaydiy.com/2011/02/20/diy-studded-sweater/.

Instead of having the long end facing out, I had mine facing in. I'm not done yet, I want the studs on the left shoulder to come down more!

What do you think of my DIY Studded Sweater so far?

P.S. Check out the cross earrings I made last night! :p
