Words to Live By...

Do the best you can.

I'm not jealous of anyone. The only person I compete against is myself. When you feel the need to compete against someone else you've already lost.

Be the best version of you. No matter how much you progress you can always make yourself better. When you reach a goal you've set for yourself, set the bar much higher next time. When you finally become the person you were attempting to be, it'll make your success THAT much sweeter.

Happy Birthday to Me!

On August 17, 1992 I was born. ^_^ this Friday I celebrated my birthday in Athens && then came back && turned up with my friends for the next two days. I had fun && my 20th birthday was definitely a success!

I wore a tank top, cut off shorts, fishnet tights, my leopard print boots && red MAC lipstick in hopes that I would have an edgy/glamorous look.

Song of the Day

No Doubt- Underneath It All

"You're really lovely, underneath it all. && you want to love me, underneath it all. I'm really lucky, underneath it all..."

Long Hurr, Don't Curr!

So I'm back to being long hair, don't care ladies && gents! Just in time for my birthday! ;)

I got 18" Brazilian body wave sewed in. Before I had my friend put it in, my little sister && I ombréd the ends. After I handle a couple of more things I'm going to dye the tips pink && of course I'll post pictures && a how-to on here!

Pay It Forward

I don't think I really mentioned it too much on here but I won a 5-day apprenticeship with Tracy Reese through Coca-Cola!

On July 22nd I flew to NYC, stayed in the Westin in Times Square && worked a regular 9 to 5, Monday-Friday. I was extremely nervous as it was my first time in New York && I wasn't sure what to expect. However, I loved the atmosphere, the pace && of course the shopping! I could definitely see myself living there!

As an apprentice I got to help the design team prepare for fashion week, send off clothing to Tracy's other showrooms, help with the development of Tracy's Spring 2013 collections, sit in on fittings as well as other meetings && find out what each person on the design team did.

While in NYC I also got to spend time with my Tavie! She came from Pittsburgh to visit me! ^_^ we had tons of fun exploring the city && shopping in Soho! :D

Overall, I had a lot of fun, learned a lot && I'm sure that I'll find myself in New York again, sooner than I realize.
